What Does the Validator Check?

1. Syntax & Structure

Validates valid JSON parsing and the presence of all 5 mandatory top-level sections: $schema, protocol, entity, capabilities, and releases.

2. Formats & Standards

Enforces ISO 8601 timestamps, BCP 47 language keys, ISO 4217 currencies, non-negative integer minor pricing units, and 64-hex SHA-256 digests.

3. Trust & Cryptography

Verifies domain consistency between entity.domain and canonical URLs, recognized signature algorithms (Ed25519, ECDSA), and domain challenge configurations.
